In order to maintain certification a certified occupational
hygienist must accumulate 40 Certification Maintenance (CM) points over 5 years.
The certification cycle begins November 1 of the year the applicant passes the written
and oral certification exams and ends October 31, 5 years later. There is no ceiling
on CM points per year.
