Social Activities

A full social programme will provide delegates and partners with opportunities to socialise, consolidate friendships and discuss the many issues raised during the scientific programme. The major social functions are:

PRESIDENT'S CUP GOLF EVENT

The AIOH President’s Cup Golf Event will be held at the Burswood Park Golf Course on Sunday 30th November. It will be run as an "Ambrose Competition" where a team handicap is used.

The course occupies this historic Royal Perth Golf Club site and presents players with a unique opportunity to play exhilarating golf with the City of Perth skyline as a backdrop, in a delightful riverside setting. Burswood is in all respects a challenging course, with nine lakes and two creeks coming into play on fifteen holes.

Player facilities are the best in Perth and include superb locker rooms, Pro Shop, licenced Cafe, Sprig Bar and Function Centre, day-night driving range, chipping and putting greens and parking for 200 cars.


WELCOME COCKTAIL FUNCTION

Sunday evening, 30 November, sponsored by Active Environmental Solutions. This will be a relaxed reception with finger food available. Dress – smart casual.


3M CRIME NIGHT

The 3M sponsored Crime Night will be held at a secret location on the evening of Monday 1st December.

Dress as your favourite crime investigator-- real or fiction (from Sherlock Holmes to Horatio from CSI Miami) to anyone in between. Or, come as a crime-related "thing" such as a piece of evidence, a victim, skeleton..the list goes on....you get the picture!

CONFERENCE DINNER

This dinner is a semi-formal occasion (lounge suits please gentlemen). A sumptuous meal will be served with fine Australian wines, accompanied by background entertainment from a DJ. Music suitable for dancing will follow the formal part of the evening.
