Occupational hygienists are professionals dedicated to the health and well-being of the worker and the community through recognition, evaluation and control of workplace hazards. Professional hygienists considered competent and suitably qualified in the field are classified as Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH) or Full members (MAIOH). Certified occupational hygienists have met the highest level of performance in the AIOH and are required to participate in a formal system, accredited internationally, to maintain and extend their practice, knowledge, skill and judgment in the field of occupational hygiene. This COH is an important means for identifying a professional with the right background to help bring solutions to your environmental and occupational health problems.
AIOH also include members who are graded as Provisional, who meet the professional qualification requirement and are establishing the years of professional practice required for Full membership. The consultant listing is provided in good faith by the AIOH to advise on the services available from those members who are consultants in occupational hygiene. However the Institute accepts no responsibility for the validity of claims made or services provided by those consultants listed.
