2010 AIOH Seminar Series
BASIC PRINCIPLES IN OCCUPATIONAL HYGIENE
The Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists are pleased to announce the very popular Basic Principles Course will be held in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth in the coming months.
Set over four (4) days, this course is taught using multimedia by professional, trained, practicing occupational hygienists and covers the following topics:
Introduction to Occupational Hygiene
Introduction to Toxicology, Physiology & Epidemiology
Exposure Standards & Dose
Physical Hazards including noise, thermal environment, vibration, lighting and radiation; ionising and non-ionising
Chemical Hazards including sampling equipment, aerosols, gases & vapours and fibres
Biological Hazards
The Practice of Occupational Hygiene; The Walk Through Survey and Sampling Strategies;
Controls; The Hierarchy of Control; Ventilation and PPE

Fellow member Dr Laurie Glossop will soon be presenting the next instalment of AIOH Seminars titled Hazardous Substances Information - Are you ready for the Tsunami?
