Challenges with Implementing a Drinking Water Management Program

Monday 30 May 2022   From 5pm

Do you experience challenges implementing your Drinking Water Management Program?

For example, do you struggle with managing your field and laboratory data? Find it difficult to manage water quality parameters that are above the analytical level of detection but don’t have an ADWG health limit?

Or do you experience challenges with workforce engagement and building trust in water quality?

This presentation by Steve Delides and Marg Nguyen will discuss some common challenges with implementing a Drinking Water Management Plan, and aims to help answer some of your questions.

Session Speakers:      Steve Delides and Marg Nguyen

Steve Delides is a Water Quality Consultant with 20 years’ industry experience, presently the Project Director and Training Specialist at Ecosafe International.  Ecosafe is a specialist consultancy focusing on the interface between water and health across all water systems on site.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science with 1st Class Honours in Environmental Chemistry, Diploma of Water Industry Operations and Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE).

Steven currently serves on the Australian Standards Working Group EV-008 which has recently updated the sampling methods for drinking water (AS 5667.5-2022).

Steven is passionate about achieving pragmatic water quality management system improvements to optimise water quality risks on site.

Marg Nguyen is an Occupational Hygienist with over 12 years’ experience, predominantly within the Mining and Resources sector.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, a Master of Science in Occupational Hygiene Practice and is currently completing her Masters in Health Emergency Preparedness and Response.

As part of her current role as a Water Quality Specialist with Ecosafe International, Marg is responsible for co-ordinating and delivering risk-based control measures to Partners both in Healthcare and Mining settings.
