In this session Chief Advisor Scott Rogers from Workplace Health and Safety Queenland’s Hazardous Chemicals Unit will be exploring hazardous areas. Join Scott as he clears the air about identifying a hazardous area, extinguishes the difference between hazardous atmospheres, contaminated atmospheres and hazardous areas, and shines a light on legislative requirements when installing plant and equipment in a hazardous area.

Scott has 10 years’ experience working for Workplace Health and Safety Queensland in its Hazardous Chemicals Unit and combined experience of over 18 years working as a safety regulator under the Dangerous Goods Safety Management and Workplace Health and Safety Acts.
