EHG members, we will be hosting an ‘Ask Me Anything’ with Mitchell Thompson M&Q Chair

Introducing Mitchell, the Director behind Hypex Group, a dynamic Occupational Health and Hygiene Consultancy based in Sydney. With over 15 years of experience, Mitchell’s journey has led him through various industries, including mining, manufacturing, tunnelling, remediation, infrastructure, and even defence. He is a Full Member of the AIOH, and has been a Certified Occupational Hygienist since 2012.

Mitchell’s forte extends beyond his technical acumen; his strength lies in making intricate health protection strategies accessible to all tiers of management and the workforce. His unparalleled knack for translating complexity into actionable insights sets the stage for practical solutions and innovative approaches to tackle any hurdle.

Under Mitchell’s guidance, the consultancy has pioneered a new addition to its services: a mobile health clinic. This initiative brings health screenings for hazardous chemicals and audiometry right to the clients’ doorstep. This seamless integration of health and hygiene services showcases Mitchell’s unwavering commitment to addressing and preventing occupational illness and disease.

Mitchell’s journey has come full circle, fueling his desire to give back to the profession that shaped him. Through his engagement with AIOH, he is the Chair of the Membership and Qualifications Committee, as well as a member of the Awards Committee. These roles resonate deeply with his aspiration to nurture the growth of his field and recognise the pioneers propelling it forward.
