WA Sundowner Meeting:
What it means to connect: The AIOH Emerging Hygienists Group and Mentoring Program
The AIOH promotes the importance of opportunities to increase professional development, knowledge sharing, competency, and networking. These values have paved the way for two communities that encompass these and assist in raising the profile of the occupational hygiene profession.
The Emerging Hygienists Group, which was put together by a small but motivated collection of young hygienists, aims to provide a supportive, professional networking community. It offers members from across Australia access to virtual and face-to-face events to assist in connecting with each other and other established hygienists.
The Mentoring Program aims to benefit professionals at any stage in their career, whether it is as an emerging hygienist, an AIOH member seeking guidance on how to progress through their membership, or a long-standing member looking to give back to the community with their experience and guidance. Participants gain to develop their technical skills, professional judgement, oral and written communication, and networking to name a few.
Speaker:
This session will introduce the advantages and experiences through both programs by several participants. The networking event welcomes and encourages emerging professionals and hygienists, such as those who recently participated in the Perth Basic Principles in Occupational Hygiene Course to attend for the opportunity to meet experienced Hygienists from various industries.
