Join WSP’s Occupational Hygiene and HazMat Consulting team.

The national team comprises licensed asbestos assessors, certified occupational hygienists, toxicologists, microbiologists and laboratory professionals.

We currently have several opportunities for HazMat Consultants, Senior Consultants and Senior Occupational Hygienists.

We offer a hybrid work arrangement, with the opportunity to work from Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, Adelaide, Canberra, Gold Coast or Coffs Harbour, and remotely for ~2-3 days per week, as desired.

Opportunity highlights

  • Senior Occupational Hygienist (indoor/mould specialist) in Adelaide:
    • Conduct occupational health risk assessments and provide expert advice on health risks related to hazards like silica, noise, chemicals, clandestine drug labs, vibration, lead, asbestos, biological hazards, and indoor air quality
    • Use cutting edge equipment and methods to monitor workers for exposure to hazards
    • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams in acoustics, contaminated land, engineering and fire safety
    • Be mentored by Certified Occupational Hygienists

  • Team Leader in Newcastle:

  • Hazmat Consultant, anywhere:
    • Provide recommendations to protect worker health
    • Develop asbestos monitoring and decontamination strategies, and provide technical guidance on-site during clearance phase
    • Sample airborne contaminants such as respirable crystalline silica, dust, and chemicals, as well as physical hazards such as noise and vibration
    • Conduct indoor air quality, mould and moisture assessments
