Our client is a highly successful and well- established risk and compliance consultancy with an excellent market reputation. Significant demand for their services ensures continuing growth and rapid expansion. With a focus on adding value and quality service delivery, client demand has created the need for an experienced Occupational Hygienist (OH) to join their team.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director, you will be allocated a varied client portfolio for which you will be required to:

  • service, manage and provide expert OH & OHS advice
  • conduct workplace monitoring for physical, biological and chemical hazards
  • perform audits & on-site risk assessments eg noise assessments, air monitoring, ergonomic assessments and all forms of hazards/risks
  • liaise with clients, prepare reports and perform small advisory presentations
  • maintain comprehensive client information
  • design OH client strategies/programs & promote OHS safety products to clients
  • comply with organisational QMS, OHS, EMS & other relevant business policies/procedures etc
  • work within budgetary and procedural parameters
  • deliver on other OH related responsibilities as determined

The Candidate
You will have

  • a Degree qualification – Engineering, Science, Chemistry, Physics, Occ Health & Safety or similar
  • Prior work experience in Occ Hygiene & OH&S related work (in industry or consulting)
  • Understanding the physics of noise (essential)
  • AIOH membership (full or provisional)
  • Confidence using Mac /Windows with competency in Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • A current Drivers Licence

Work is project- based and so prior experience in simultaneously managing multiple  projects/clients is important. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is required, as is the ability to foster and maintain strong client connections. Strong self- management/organisational skills and efficient prioritisation of tasks are critical.
