The Member Recognition Committee (MRC) champions the AIOH’s values by recognising and celebrating the achievements of our members. Through a range of awards, we support professional growth, highlight excellence, and foster innovation in occupational hygiene. From behind-the-scenes judging to public recognition at our Annual Conference, the MRC ensures our member achievements don’t go unnoticed.

AIOH Award Sponsors

Purpose

To support the recognition and professional development of AIOH members by managing the awards process for professional training, technical excellence, and innovation. The Committee plays a key role in celebrating member achievements and promoting professional growth through sponsored awards, while supporting the AIOH’s values and strategic goals. 

Key Activities

  • Develop and maintain award criteria, eligibility requirements, and judging rubrics.
  • Guide prospective applicants through the process, offering feedback before submission.
  • Review and score applications, then recommend winners to Council for endorsement.
  • Notify both successful and unsuccessful applicants.
  • Liaise with sponsors to provide recipient details and presentation notes.
  • Support awardees with travel arrangements, itinerary approval, and post-award commitments such as conference presentations or articles in The Filter.
