The Public Policy Sub Committee ensures AIOH’s voice is heard in national conversations on occupational health and safety. By engaging with government, regulators, and industry, it positions AIOH as a trusted, evidence-based advisor on issues that impact worker health.
The PP Sub Committee works to shape policy and regulatory outcomes that protect and promote worker health. It provides timely responses to government consultations, develops submissions, and ensures AIOH’s policy positions reflect both current science and member expertise.
Coordinate responses to government inquiries, standards reviews, and regulatory consultations.
Develop and update AIOH policy positions in line with evidence and member consensus.
Provide advice to Council and the Executive on emerging policy trends and advocacy priorities.
Build connections with external stakeholders to strengthen AIOH’s policy influence.
