You are invited to the AIOH SA Chapter meeting at AGL Torrens Island on 9 October 2026. The event will begin with a tour of B-Station and the Torrens Island Battery, followed by an informal networking catch-up with fellow occupational hygiene and workplace health professionals.
B-Station is the operational section of the original Torrens Island Power Station. Its three gas-fired, open-cycle turbines remain in service and can provide up to 600 MW of electricity to South Australia.
Commissioned in mid-2023, the Torrens Island Battery has a capacity of 250 MW and can supply enough electricity to power approximately 75,000 homes for one hour. Its duration could be extended to four hours as market needs evolve, supporting grid reliability and the energy transition.
