Transition to the New Workplace Exposure Limits (WELs)
With the new Workplace Exposure Limits (WELs) commencing on 1 December 2026, many organisations are considering what the changes mean for exposure monitoring, risk management and regulatory compliance. This AIOH WA Sundowner will provide an opportunity to hear directly from WorkSafe WA on the transition to the new WELs and what industry can expect as implementation approaches.
Presented by WorkSafe WA Commissioner Sally North and Principal Scientific Officer Alan Thain, the session will provide a regulatory update, discuss practical implications for workplaces, and explore key considerations for occupational hygiene and worker health protection. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.
