Dust and Occupational Diseases Litigation – the future and OH’s place within it.

We are excited to have you join us for the first Queensland State chapter meeting of 2024.

Join us for an insightful session on "Dust and Occupational Diseases Litigation – the future and OH’s place within it," where we delve into the evolving landscape of legal proceedings related to dust and occupational diseases.

Discover the crucial role of Occupational Health (OH) in navigating these complex legal matters and shaping the future of litigation in this domain.

Jonathan Walsh

Jonathan Walsh is not your average lawyer. As a Principal Lawyer and the Queensland practice group leader for asbestos law and dust diseases at Maurice Blackburn’s Brisbane office, he brings unparalleled expertise and dedication to his practice.

Jonathan has been exclusively practicing in the area of Dust Diseases litigation Australia wide for over 15 years and is also an Accredited Specialist in Dust Diseases in NSW.  In addition to assisting workers with toxic dust related disease, Jonathan is also a leading advocate in relation to health and safety and compensation rights of workers.

With accreditation as a Law Society of NSW Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury (Dust Diseases), Jonathan stands out as a beacon of excellence in his field, surpassing many of his peers.

Driven by a profound sense of justice instilled in him from an early age, Jonathan’s passion for advocating for those wronged by powerful entities led him to study law. Graduating from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Media and Bachelor of Laws, he joined Maurice Blackburn in 2003 and has since been committed to securing justice for his clients.
