Code of Ethics 2026 (AIOH0404POL)

10/08/2026

This Code of Ethics  establishes the principles for all AIOH members, staff and volunteers to adhere to. It encourages trust and respect from its members, non-members and staff involved in its activities. However, it may not cover every issue that may arise. This Code is to provide members of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH) with guidance on the minimum standard of ethical behaviour and professionalism that is expected and required of them by being a participating member of the AIOH. This required behaviour extends from practising occupational hygiene to participating in AIOH organised activities and dealing with AIOH staff, other AIOH members and non-members. Nothing in this Code shall require a member to contravene any obligations under any relevant legislation or regulation. This Code encourages members to speak up and report activity that may be actual or suspected behaviour that is not aligned with AIOH Strategic Plan.
