The Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH) is the peak professional association representing occupational hygienists in Australia. The Institute exists to support its members, advance the profession, and promote the protection of workers and the broader community through high standards of professional practice. 1.1.2 This Procedure establishes a fair, transparent and proportionate framework for considering concerns about the conduct of members. 1.1.3 The objectives of this Procedure are to: (a) protect workers, the broader community, and people participating in Institute activities; (b) promote and uphold high standards of professional practice and behaviour; (c) ensure concerns are managed fairly, consistently and impartially; (d) provide proportionate, evidence-based responses; (e) encourage education, remediation and professional development where appropriate; and (f) maintain confidence in the occupational hygiene profession.
