Consultation on the National Occupational Respiratory Disease Registry
We are pleased to provide the following responses to the open consultation invited on the operation of the National Occupational Respiratory Disease (NORD) Registry. As the Australian body representing Occupational Hygienists, the AIOH has been engaged with the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing for several years and has also provided representation on the National Registry Build Advisory Group (RBAG). Additionally, we submitted feedback in 2022 and 2023 on the NORD Registry Bill as we recognised the potential for the National Registry to enhance existing surveillance andpublish data that could target interventions to further prevent dust disease.
