Key Dates
Council nominations close: Tuesday, 7th October 2025 New business for AGM agenda due: Thursday, 31st October 2025 Council Nominations Now Open
Three positions on Council will become vacant at the AGM: President-Elect (must have served previously on Council) Honorary Secretary General Councillor (1 position, 2-year term)
Current Council members continuing in 2025: President: Kelly Johnstone (QLD) Treasurer: Dustin Bennett (QLD) General Councillors: Michael Eva (VIC), Melanie Cox (QLD)
Eligibility & How to Nominate To nominate: You must be a Fellow or Full Member (including retired) in good standing. Fellow, Full, or Provisional Members may propose or second a nomination.
Complete the Council Nomination Form, ensuring all signatures (nominee, proposer, seconder) are included.

Postal forms must be date-stamped before the deadline to be valid. Nominations may be accepted from the floor at the AGM in accordance with Rule 26.5.
About Serving on Council Council roles are detailed in the Overview of AIOH Council Responsibilities and the AIOH Office Bearer Policy. For a personal perspective, you’re encouraged to connect with current Council members. Council meets monthly (mostly online) and at least three times in person.
Reasonable travel costs for in-person meetings are covered under the AIOH Travel Policy. Ballot Process If more than one valid nomination is received for a position, a member ballot will take place with full instructions provided. Results will be announced at the AGM.
Submitting New Business Members are welcome to submit any new business for the AGM agenda in writing to admin@aioh.org.au by 31st October 2025.
We encourage all eligible members to consider contributing to the future direction of the AIOH through Council service or engagement in the AGM process.
