The Strategy, Risk and Advisory Sub-Committee plays a key role in ensuring the AIOH remains well governed, financially sustainable and strategically focused. By monitoring organisational performance, identifying emerging risks and opportunities, and supporting long-term planning, the committee helps Council make informed decisions that strengthen the Institute and support its future growth. Through a proactive and collaborative approach, the committee contributes to effective governance, organisational resilience and the ongoing success of the AIOH.


Purpose

The Strategy, Risk and Advisory Sub-Committee (SRA) supports the AIOH by providing strategic advice to Council and the Governance, Risk and Strategy Advisory Committee (GRSAC). The committee promotes forward-thinking planning, organisational resilience and sound governance through strategic planning, enterprise risk management and continuous organisational improvement.

Key Activities

  • Develop and review the AIOH Strategic Plan.
  • Monitor progress against strategic priorities.
  • Identify emerging risks, trends and opportunities.
  • Maintain the AIOH Enterprise Risk Register.
  • Review organisational risk controls and mitigation strategies.
  • Support governance, compliance and business continuity.
  • Review financial, operational and reputational risks.
  • Monitor policy review schedules and organisational performance.
  • Provide strategic advice and recommendations to Council.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
